B.S. in Physical Therapy and Certificate in Athletic Training, University of Vermont; Advanced M.S. in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, MGH-Institute of Health Professions; Ed.D in Educational Leadership, University of Tennessee at Knoxville.

Clinical Education, Amputee Rehabilitation, Adaptive Sports

Personal Highlights:

Her furry children are trained therapy dogs, participating in Animal Assisted Therapy through Valley Health System and the Frederick County Library reading program. Avid travelers, skiers and hikers; we enjoy getting outside with our growing number of grand-children on both coasts.

Professional Highlights:

Developed, and was a clinical instructor for 皇冠博彩 PT&SKI, an adaptive sports part-time clinical experience. Founded and directed the Adventure Amputee Camp for 20 years, and initiated the winter sports camp. Currently growing the adaptive sport opportunities for people with mobility challenges through adaptive soccer, pickleball, golf, and a wheelchair race. Served on the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy. Suported by The Jackson Clinics Foundation and the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya, Missy has lectured at Kenya Medical College to Kenyan Physical Therapists and developed the first physiotherapist clinical training program in East Africa with a colleague, Jennifer Bell, PhD, PT.
